DISCOVER OUR STORY
At the heart of Norbury, we're transforming our community, one green space at a time.
Litter Free Norbury
Litter Free Norbury is a vibrant, community-driven charity committed to eradicating environmental issues such as litter, fly-tipping, and graffiti in the Norbury area. Founded at the tail end of 2020, our initiative now flourishes with over 300 members active across social media. By directly engaging with residents and the local council, we're not only addressing immediate environmental concerns but also advocating for long-term improvements and solutions.
Maggie’s Garden Project
Maggie’s Garden Project is a testament to community spirit and transformation. What started as a mission to revitalize a forgotten space behind Hermitage Lane Bus Stop has blossomed into a symbol of hope and collective effort. This garden, named in honor of the late Councillor Maggie Mansell, is more than a green space—it's a beacon of dedication, commemorating 25 years of her service to our community.
Manor Farm Nature Reserve
Manor Farm Nature Reserve (MFNR), located at the confluence of Norbury Avenue and Manor Farm Road, is a historical and ecological treasure. Home to an original WWII air raid shelter and cradled by Norbury Brook, MFNR is a critical wildlife corridor. Through thoughtful management, it offers a sanctuary for fauna, influencing biodiversity in surrounding areas.
